1. PLACE AN ORDER The customer send me an email ( MakenaTile@aol.com ) or calls me: Janna (909)952-1333 between the hours of 10am and 8pm West coast time 7 days a week- to let me know they'd like to order a custom mural. 2 .The customer tells me what design they have in mind and the measurements of the space where the mural will go and what size mural your looking for. If your not sure what size I can help you decide. I'll need to know what color tile will be going around the mural. For kitchen murals- I'd like to know your Cabinet, counter top and appliance colors. 3. I DESIGN YOUR MURAL Next-I draw a mural design and email it to you to see if you like it. You tell me what you do and don't like about it and I make any alterations requested and once satisfied- I then submit my final design for approval. 4. YOU PAY MURAL DEPOSIT Upon your approval - you will be asked to pay a nonrefundable deposit for 2/3 the total cost for the mural. This is nonrefundable because its used to buy the materials to make the mural and to pay for time I spend fabricating it.
I only accept payments thru PayPal. I will send you an invoice that will take care of everything for you. You don't need to have an account with them. You can pay using your credit card right on line. Ca customers will be charged 7.25% tax.
Stone is then carefully picked for its color and texture. I proceed to cut and shape the stone using an assortment of wet saws, grinders, and hand tools. Each piece is hand sanded and polished to enhance the natural color. 6. PHOTOS ARE EMAILED TO YOU FOR APPROVAL I take pictures of the finished pieces laid out as they would be on the mural for your approval. This is when any minor design changes need to be worked out. Minor changes due to dissatisfaction with color or composition are allowed (as long as its not making a whole different design) I then glue the mural to a piece of backer board , grout it and seal it. I take pictures of it and send them to you. This is your last chance to make any changes. I build a shipping crate, pack up the mural and calculate the cost of shipping, add the balance on the mural, and send you the final invoice. Murals are shipped in a wood crate- firmly packed between two pieces of cushion foam. Your mural will take 6 days to arrive. ** Fabrication time can take from 1 week to 4 weeks depending on the complexity of

QUICK FACTS I hand carve the stone pieces in all my wall murals to give them a unique 3D lifelike effect. Floor murals are made completely flat. My Murals feature gridless backgrounds. Random large chunky mosaic background is most common with scenic cut backgrounds becoming the most popular in the last couple years. Due to the amount of pieces and detail in my custom murals- They arrive as "finished" murals. This means they are pre-set on thin laminate or tile backer board- depending on the size of the mural- and arrive already grouted and sealed. Custom murals can be set into field tile or they can be framed and hung on the wall like a picture. |
NATURAL COLORS My stone murals are not photographs or painted on designs that will fade or chip over time. They are made by carving shapes out of a variety of naturally colorful stone. Slate, Travertine, Quartzite and Marble are commonly used. Glass, river rock and micro stones are sometimes used to accent and border my murals. Porcelain and Ceramic are often used as background to enhance or offset the carved pieces. GRAND WALL MURALS My Grand Wall Murals are full wall murals made by cutting mural pieces right into your room's field tile. Without the conventional confinements of borders or frames, these murals feature life size tropical plants that traverse across entire walls transforming any room into a tropical oasis. |
